Overview
VIPARSPECTRA builds this P700 as a rectangular aluminum LED panel that hangs over plants from two stainless steel hooks. A user instruction comes in the package, and a dimming control lets you adjust output for different growth stages.
Reason to buy: high stated output in a slim, light panel with hanging hardware included. Limitation: the listing leaves out the spectrum, color temperature and coverage area, and the color entry of green is unexplained.
Who it's for
Indoor growers who want a lightweight hanging panel with dimming and a clear warranty will find the basics covered. Those planning a larger grow, or needing spectrum and coverage figures, should confirm them before buying.
Pros and cons
- High stated light output
- Hooks included for hanging
- Light aluminum body
- Three-year limited warranty
- Spectrum not stated
- Coverage area not listed
- Corded, needs a nearby outlet
- Color entry unexplained
Performance notes
Intensity at the leaves depends on hanging height, since light falls off with distance, and dimming lowers output for seedlings or close hangs. The aluminum body spreads heat from the many small LEDs, and the stated output is a maximum, not a sustained figure at every height.
