Overview
Rolling on four wheels, the DeWalt DXV05P is a corded wet/dry vacuum with a cartridge and foam filter pair. A seven foot hose, adapter, crevice tool and round brush are listed in the box.
Lower noise and a portable build are what stand out, and the recommended use is the garage. Single speed and single power level mean there is no way to tone down suction for delicate surfaces.
Who it's for
Home garages, small shops and hard floor cleanups suit this one. Anyone looking for a cordless vacuum, or for multiple power settings, should look at other models.
Pros and cons
- Quiet running listed
- Wet and dry pickup
- Includes crevice tool and brush
- Four wheels for moving
- Single speed only
- Style and form factor listed inconsistently
- Corded, so outlet reach limits range
Performance notes
Suction is set by the motor and the hose, and with one speed the output stays constant. The cartridge filter handles dry dust while the foam filter is used for wet work. Moving it on wheels reduces strain, but a full tank adds weight.
