Overview
Not merely a speed claim, this Ravin R470 is sold as a crossbow package with a silent cocking sled built in and an ultra narrow axle design. The body is aluminum in a gray finish.
Speed together with self-contained cocking is the reason to look at it for hunting or target shooting. The limitation is that the listing never itemizes what is in the package.
Who it's for
Experienced shooters who value speed and a narrow profile will find the headline specifications clear. Anyone who needs a detailed parts list, or wants a lighter or lower draw weight, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- High stated speed
- Built-in silent cocking sled
- Narrow axle design
- Stealth gray finish
- Package contents not itemized
- Very high draw weight
- Scope and bolts not listed
Performance notes
Draw weight and draw length determine how much energy the limbs store, and the narrow axle shortens the overall width. The cocking sled sets the string evenly and quietly, which supports consistent shots.
