Overview
The cideny gate is a white metal walk-through gate that tightens between two walls using threaded spindle rods, with an auto-close door. It is sold for babies and dogs, and for doorways, stairs and strollers.
The reason to look is a drill-free gate that adjusts across a wide range of openings and closes behind the user. The limits are that pressure mounting depends on a flat, firm wall, and the listing gives no guidance on top-of-stairs use.
Who it's for
Households that want a gate across a doorway or a wide hallway, and that prefer no drilling into trim, will use the adjustable fit. Anyone planning a gate at the head of stairs, or for an opening outside the stated width, should confirm suitability first.
Pros and cons
- No drilling needed
- Adjusts across a wide opening
- Stroller friendly walk-through
- Spanner and wall cups included
- Top-of-stairs use not stated
- Height is modest for big dogs
- Pressure fit needs firm walls
Performance notes
Four threaded spindle rods push outward against the walls, so the grip depends on flat, sound surfaces and tight adjustment. The door closes on its own after the user passes. Wall cups, screws and adhesive pads are included for extra hold where needed.
