It steps between a standard 5-15 household outlet and a 6-20 240V outlet, with 4 selectable current levels and a delay timer, so it works as a garage backup or an everyday home charger depending on the outlet available.
This is a dual-voltage travel charger rather than a dedicated wallbox: the same unit reads either outlet type and adjusts output instead of needing two separate chargers. On a 5-15 household outlet it automatically caps itself at 12A for safety, so the 16A top speed only applies on a 240V 6-20 circuit. The onboard TFT screen shows live voltage, current and temperature instead of hiding that data in the car.
