Moyuum Silicone Microwave Divided Steamer

Overview

Made in Korea from medical-grade, BPA-free silicone, the Moyuum BUGLA-111 is a microwave steamer built around four separate compartments and a steaming tray. It lets you cook purees, vegetables or a full portion of rice or oatmeal without added water in most cases. It is dishwasher safe and rated for oven, freezer and microwave use up to 482F.

The donabe-inspired lid is what does the real work: it traps steam so most foods cook without any water added, though a few owners found a splash of water prevents scorching on drier vegetables. Its main limit is size, it suits one to two servings, and there is no printed recipe guide beyond the packaging.

Who it's for

Drier vegetables like carrots can scorch on the bottom without a splash of water first. The compartments hold heat but the silicone handles stay cool enough to remove by hand, and the surface wipes clean or goes in the dishwasher.
