Overview
A bedroom or apartment practice space suits the Donner DED-200, an electronic kit with mesh pads, three cymbals and a sound module with Bluetooth and USB MIDI. The throne, monitoring headphones and drumsticks come with it.
A beginner-friendly bundle is the reason to look, with learning lessons and a large sound list alongside the hardware. The limit is that the pads are small and the listing does not mention pedals.
Who it's for
A new drummer in a small flat, who wants Bluetooth to play along with songs and MIDI to connect software, will use the full bundle. Players moving to larger pads or heavier hitting should look at bigger kits.
Pros and cons
- Mesh snare and kick pads
- Bluetooth and USB MIDI
- Throne, headphones and sticks included
- Melodics lessons included
- Pads are small
- Pedals not mentioned
- Sound module details are thin
Performance notes
Mesh heads are quieter than rubber and give a more natural bounce, while dual-zone pads sense head and rim hits. The module triggers a large library of acoustic-like sounds, and Bluetooth streams music so you can play along. USB MIDI sends the performance to software.
