Overview
A big game hunting setup is the setting for this compact crossbow, which arrives with a pre-installed crank cocking device and a side-mount quiver. The butt stock adjusts for length of pull and the safety is ambidextrous.
Everything needed to start shooting is in the box, from the illuminated scope to the string and rail wax, after a short bolt-together assembly. The kit includes target points only, so hunting arrows are a separate purchase.
Who it's for
A hunter after a lightweight crossbow with a built-in cocking crank and a fitted scope gets the pieces together here. Shooters wanting broadheads in the box, or a pistol-grip style crossbow, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Scope, cocker and quiver included
- Crank cocker pre-installed
- Adjustable length of pull
- Anti-dry fire trigger
- Broadheads not included
- Only two arrows in the kit
- Assembly with several bolts required
Performance notes
Arrow speed and draw weight decide the kinetic energy delivered to the target, and the crank cocking device draws the string back with less effort than a hand draw. The adjustable butt stock sets the length of pull for the shooter's frame, and the anti-dry fire trigger blocks firing without an arrow loaded.
