Polk Audio MC60 2-Way In-Ceiling Speaker

Overview

Flush in the ceiling, this speaker aims its tweeter toward the listening area for clearer highs. A moisture-resistant design makes it usable in kitchens, bathrooms and under eaves.

The reason to choose it is a discreet ceiling speaker that handles damp rooms and adds smooth mid-bass from a six-and-a-half inch woofer. The limit is that the listing is a single speaker and wireless fields appear that do not match its in-ceiling design.

Who it's for

A home entertainment space or covered porch with an amplifier and speaker wire is the use. A buyer who wants Bluetooth, or who needs two speakers from one order, should plan accordingly.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

The woofer covers bass and mid-bass while a smaller tweeter handles the highs, which can be aimed. Polk says its Dynamic Balance design reduces resonances that add distortion. The ceiling cavity acts as the enclosure, which shapes bass response.
