Overview
A beginner or a weekend angler gets a mid-size spinning reel here, with a metal build and a shaped spool lip that helps line leave the spool. It mounts on a spinning rod.
The shaped spool lip and a familiar reel size are the reasons to look at it for general freshwater use. The limit is the missing gear ratio, drag rating and line capacity.
Who it's for
General freshwater fishing with a spinning rod suits this reel size. Anglers who need saltwater use or published line capacity should check the product page.
Pros and cons
- Propulsion Spool Lip
- Gear ratio not listed
- Drag rating not listed
- Line capacity not listed
Performance notes
The shaped spool lip lets line peel off the spool with less friction, which can add casting distance with light lures. A lighter reel reduces fatigue over a day of casting. Drag and ratio data would be needed for heavier use.
