Overview
Daiwa builds the BG as a spinning reel, and this smaller size comes with a synthetic body in black and gold. The listing offers a size code and a weight, and very little else.
A smaller spinning reel suits light line and smaller fish, and the synthetic body trims the weight without any extra detail. Anyone buying on specs will be disappointed, since drag, retrieve, bearings and warranty are all absent.
Who it's for
A casual angler building a light outfit who is happy to judge the reel by its name and size. Someone matching it to a certain line or species needs the missing numbers from the seller.
Pros and cons
- Synthetic body holds weight down
- Smaller size for light line
- Spinning technique stated
- Black and gold finish
- Drag figure not listed
- Gear ratio missing
- Line capacity missing
Performance notes
A smaller spool suits lighter line and lures, and the synthetic body trims weight in the hand. Smoothness depends on the gearing and drag, which the listing does not describe, so real performance cannot be judged from the page.
