Overview
A tackle bag with a spare leader coil is where this Seaguar spool belongs, holding clear fluorocarbon rated at a heavy test. The length is listed in yards.
Heavy fluorocarbon in a small length is the reason to look at it for leaders. The limit is that a reel cannot be filled with so little line.
Who it's for
Leader work and rig building suit a short length like this. Anglers filling a reel need a much longer spool.
Pros and cons
- Light and compact
- Too short to fill a reel
- Diameter not listed
- Not a leader-rated listing
Performance notes
Fluorocarbon is dense and hard to see underwater, which suits leaders. A heavy test resists abrasion on rocks and teeth. A short length is cut into several leaders.
