Overview
A pickup and an output jack let this Cecilio violin feed a guitar amp or PA, and the headphone jack lets a player practice without disturbing the room. The body is hand-carved maple in pearl white with ebony fittings.
The reason to buy is the complete outfit: the instrument, case, bow and cables arrive together and cover practice, recording and stage use. The limitation is that the listing does not give detailed hardware grades.
Who it's for
Violinists of all levels who need quiet practice and the option to plug in on stage get everything needed in one box. Anyone who wants a left-handed layout or a traditional acoustic instrument should shop elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Output jack for amps and PA
- Headphone jack for quiet practice
- Line-in for backing tracks
- Bow, rosin and case included
- Pickup type not described
- Pickup grade unspecified
- Fittings grade unspecified
Performance notes
The pickup sends the string signal to the output jack, so volume and tone come from the amp or PA connected. The volume control sets the level before it leaves the violin. A headphone jack and line-in jack let a player hear a backing track privately while practicing.
