Overview
A pickup inside the body feeds the output jack of this small Cecilio violin, and a headphone jack gives private practice. The half-size maple body is mirrored for left-handed players and trimmed with ebony fittings.
The outfit covers practice, recording and stage use in one box, with cables, bow and case all supplied. The mirrored layout is the unusual part. The listing does not grade the fittings or say what pickup is fitted.
Who it's for
A young lefty who wants to practice without disturbing the house and occasionally plug into an amp gets the complete set. Right-handed players and those who need a longer violin should choose another model.
Pros and cons
- Complete accessory set
- Headphone jack for quiet practice
- Amp and PA output jack
- Line-in for backing tracks
- Half size only
- Pickup grade not described
- Fittings quality unspecified
Performance notes
Signal leaves through the output jack, so loudness and tone are set by the connected amp or PA. The volume control trims the level at the instrument, and the line-in jack lets the player hear a backing track while practicing in headphones.
