Overview
A trim carpenter or remodeler wanting corded cutting power gets DeWalt's DWS780-QS, a large saw rated for a twelve inch capacity. The material is listed as high speed steel.
The reason to look is a big capacity and strong motor rating from a trade brand. The limit is sparse information: no blade size, fence description or dust collection details appear.
Who it's for
Carpenters and remodelers who cut wide stock and trim at a fixed station. The cord supplies steady power. Weekend users with small jobs may prefer a lighter, smaller machine.
Pros and cons
- Large cutting capacity
- Strong motor value
- Corded steady power
- Motor power has no unit
- Heavy to move around
- Accessory list not shown
Performance notes
Capacity limits the widest board it can cut in one pass, while motor power and blade speed govern how smoothly it moves through dense lumber. A heavier body adds stability while giving up portability. Blade condition matters as much as the numbers.
