Overview
A shop carpenter wanting corded cutting power gets Bosch's GCM12SD, driven by a strong electric motor and listed with carbide material. The capacity figure is the main sizing clue in the listing.
The reason to look is the big motor and generous capacity rating from a major brand. The limit is the sparse page: no blade count, miter range or dust port details appear.
Who it's for
Carpenters and remodelers with a stable bench or stand and the strength to move a heavy machine. Casual DIY users who cut occasionally would be better served by a lighter tool.
Pros and cons
- Strong motor rating
- Large cutting capacity
- Corded steady power
- Saw type not named
- Heavy to move
- Blade and fence details not listed
Performance notes
Motor wattage and blade speed together decide how well it cuts thick stock without bogging down. The rated capacity sets the largest cut it can make. Carbide teeth hold their edge through many cuts, but results depend on blade condition.
