A green composite Vortex optic filed under spotting scopes, but the listed power and lens size read like placeholders. Confirm what it actually is with the seller before relying on it for distance viewing.

Overview
Outdoor observation posts such as a ground blind or a trail overlook are where a Vortex scope would work, yet this listing gives odd figures: a single-power magnification and a lens size that cannot describe a typical spotter. What it does state is a view angle and a composite body.
The reason to look is the Vortex name on a composite body with a generous view angle figure. The limitation is the data itself: the magnification and lens figures do not match the category, and focus type, coatings and eyepiece details are missing.
Who it's for
Someone replacing or adding this specific model, who already knows the part number, can use the stated view angle and dimensions as a cross-check. A first-time buyer comparing spotting scopes should choose a listing with believable power and lens data.
Pros and cons
- Wide listed field of view
- Moderate listed weight
- Magnification and lens size look wrong
- Focus type not listed
- Coatings not listed
Performance notes
Field of view tells you how much scene you see at once, and a wide figure helps when finding a moving subject. Real image brightness depends on lens diameter and coatings, but the listed lens figure is not usable, so brightness cannot be judged. Treat the listed power as unconfirmed until verified.
