Overview
Spraying a tanning oil from a pump bottle is how Hawaiian Tropic delivers this dark tanning formula, scented tropical and listed as softening, soothing, radiant and nourishing. The skin type and tone fields both read all.
A dark tanning oil in spray form is easy to spread over arms and legs without the grip of a thick lotion. Oxybenzone is left out, and the oil is dermatologist tested. The sun protection rating is low, and the listing mentions no water resistance, so extra protection is needed for long hours outdoors.
Who it's for
Experienced tanners who spread an oil over body skin and manage their own exposure time. Anyone with sensitive, fair or burn-prone skin, or children, should use a higher-protection sunscreen.
Pros and cons
- Pump spray spreads easily
- Suits all skin tones
- Low SPF for long exposure
- Water resistance not listed
- Oil form, not a lotion
Performance notes
The oil base spreads thinly and helps skin look darker, while the low sun protection factor filters only a small share of UV. The pump gives an even spray over larger areas, so reapply by the clock rather than by feel to avoid burning.
