Overview
A kitchen counter or camp table is where this stainless steel gravity filter stands, with two Black Berkey elements and a standard spigot in the box. It needs no plumbing or power.
The reason to consider it is portability combined with a ready-to-use set of elements. The limit is the slow flow rate and the need to refill the upper chamber by hand.
Who it's for
Singles, couples and anyone who wants a movable filter that runs without electricity. Large families, or anyone who wants unlimited flow at the tap, should consider a larger or plumbed system.
Pros and cons
- No power needed
- Elements and spigot included
- Stainless steel chambers
- Slow flow rate
Performance notes
Gravity pulls water through the elements, so flow is slow and depends on how full the upper chamber is. Black Berkey is a proprietary media, and the stated TDS ceiling shows the water range it handles. Elements are replaced when flow drops, which the listing does not time.
