Overview
Focal offers this satellite speaker for installs in a ceiling or wall, with wired connection and a black finish, so it can disappear into a room rather than stand on a shelf.
The listing is flexible about where the speaker goes, naming ceiling, wall and satellite roles together. What it omits is the driver diameter, the power handling and the cutout size, which matter most before cutting any drywall.
Who it's for
Installers and homeowners who plan surround or background audio and are ready to run speaker wire suit this model. Renters or people unwilling to cut or mount into surfaces should look at a freestanding speaker.
Pros and cons
- Mounts in a ceiling or wall
- Light weight eases mounting
- Black finish blends with dark walls
- Driver size not listed
- Power handling and cutout size unknown
Performance notes
In-wall and in-ceiling speakers depend on the room behind them, since a hollow cavity changes bass and clarity. Placement relative to the listener sets how wide or narrow the sound field feels, and the amplifier must match the speaker rating. The listing does not provide sensitivity or frequency range.
