Overview
A property owner or angler managing a pond gets a long galvanized wire trap with a two-sided entry and a bait box built in. The galvanized finish is described as resisting rust in fresh and brackish water.
Offers a big trapping footprint for multiple fish at once, with a built-in bait box that sets bait in a fixed position. The listing is silent on mesh size, entry shape and how the trap is retrieved, which matters for catch size.
Who it's for
Pond and lake owners and anglers who set traps for catfish and have space to store and haul a large, heavy wire trap. People who need documented mesh size, or a compact trap, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Large trap size
- Entry from both sides
- Bait box included
- Fresh and brackish use listed
- Heavy and bulky
- Mesh size not stated
- Door and entry shape unlisted
- No assembly guidance
Performance notes
A trap works by letting fish swim in through entries and making exit difficult, so the entry shape and mesh size decide what is caught. The two-sided entry lets fish come from either direction, and the bait box fixes the scent source. Galvanized wire resists rust, but care in storage still matters.
