Overview
Swapping the old cartridge for this Waterdrop filter gives a GE-style refrigerator a fresh supply of filtered water. The block is activated coconut carbon in lead-free, food-grade housing.
The listing names reductions for lead, PFAS and several other contaminants and carries three NSF standards. Month stickers and a manual come with it. The limit is that fit depends on matching the part number.
Who it's for
Households that want to cut PFAS and lead in refrigerator water and have a listed model. Owners of other fridge families should look for their own filter part number.
Pros and cons
- NSF certifications listed
- Reduces lead and PFAS per the title
- Fits several brand part numbers
- Install stickers and manual included
- Single filter only
- Fit depends on part number
- Filter life not listed
- Replacement, not original brand
Performance notes
Water is pushed through the activated carbon block, and the media is designed to hold contaminants as it passes. A proper seal in the fridge housing matters as much as the media. Replacement timing follows the stickers and the fridge's own indicator.
