Overview
Spinning outings that call for a medium power rod are what Berkley aims this composite model at. The finish is brown, and the line rating is stated, but the length and piece details are contradictory.
A medium power and a composite blank point to all around use with spinning reels. The problem is the data: the length field reads five feet, the size field reads seven feet, and the piece count and size field disagree.
Who it's for
A general purpose angler with a spinning reel who will check the actual length with the seller. A buyer with a fixed length need, or one traveling with a rod in sections, cannot rely on this listing.
Pros and cons
- Medium power for general use
- Line weight stated
- Length figures conflict
- Piece count conflicts
- Action rating not listed
Performance notes
Power sets how much the blank bends under a fish or lure, and medium falls between light finesse and heavy bait use. Length affects casting distance, which is why the conflicting figures matter. Composite materials trade some sensitivity for toughness.
