Overview
Surface water for bass, pike and perch is where this TRUSCEND lure is aimed, though crappie, trout and walleye are also named. The body is ABS plastic and the hook is listed as a J hook.
A large lure with a long target list gives variety for surface strikes. The J hook is an unusual listing, and nothing is said about the action, the number of hooks or the finish pattern.
Who it's for
A surface fisher who targets larger predator species and wants spares in one pack. Anglers after panfish alone, or those wanting detailed action information, will need another listing.
Pros and cons
- Three lures in the pack
- Long target species list
- ABS plastic body
- Action not described
- Hook count unclear
- Too large for light tackle
Performance notes
Surface lures work by splashing or churning at the top, so body shape and weight set the sound and distance. The large size throws farther and draws bigger fish. A J hook changes how the lure hooks up, and hook count is not given.
