Overview
A guitarist ready to try a semi-hollow body gets a laminate maple build with humbucking pickups and a slim neck here. Ibanez finishes it in a flat metallic purple and fits a fixed bridge.
Mellow, resonant tone from the laminate body gives the guitar a wide palette for blues, rock and jazz. The listing names no case, cable or strap, and the jack type is not stated.
Who it's for
A guitarist moving from a slab body to a more resonant instrument who values a comfortable neck and growling lows. Anyone wanting a tremolo arm or an included case should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Slim, easy neck
- Mellow resonant tone
- Metallic purple finish
- No case or cable listed
- Fixed bridge, no tremolo
- Jack type not stated
Performance notes
Laminate maple used for both the body and the back yields a naturally resonant, mellow sound, and humbuckers add growling lows and focused highs. A fixed bridge ties the strings firmly to the body, which helps tuning remain steady.
