Overview
Metabo sells the NR83A5(S) as a framing nailer driven by compressed air, with a brushed plastic body. The listing marks it for professional use and notes that no batteries are needed.
Air power and a stated professional usage point to crew work where a compressor is already on site. A five year warranty and bundled glasses add support. The limitation is missing detail on nail range, depth control and magazine, which a framer would want first.
Who it's for
A job site with air lines run to the work area is the natural setting for this nailer. Homeowners without a compressor should plan for the air supply before buying, and those doing trim work need a lighter finish nailer.
Pros and cons
- Air powered, no battery needed
- Safety glasses included
- Long warranty term
- Listed for professional use
- Nail size and capacity unspecified
- Compressor not included
- Plastic body material
Performance notes
A framing nailer drives fasteners with a burst of compressed air, so line pressure and hose size decide how consistently it fires. Nothing in the listing covers depth adjustment or firing mode, so those controls must be confirmed against the manual.
