Overview
A fabrication bench or garage corner with an outlet nearby is where this AVID grinder is used. It plugs into mains power and spins at high speed, and the listing says little beyond the motor, speed and weight.
A mains motor with a high wattage rating gives steady output without battery limits, and the weight is moderate.
Who it's for
A shop bench, garage or yard with an outlet suits a corded grinder for cutting and shaping. Anyone working far from power, or wanting accessories in the box, should look at a cordless kit instead.
Pros and cons
- Corded power with no battery
- High motor power rating
- High spindle speed
- Wheel diameter not stated
- Accessories and guard not described
- Cord length unknown
Performance notes
Motor power and spindle speed set how fast the wheel removes material, but the wheel itself must be rated for that speed. A corded supply holds output steady under load, and results then depend on the wheel type and pressure applied.
