Overview
A child's first photo walks around the house and yard are the use here, with a compact bear-design camera that takes stills and video. It has a fixed lens, a small screen, filters and a microSD slot.
Simple operation and a tough-looking toy design are the reasons to consider it for ages three to six. The limits are the conflicting resolution fields and memory card sizes, so judge it as a basic starter camera.
Who it's for
Preschoolers and young kids who want to take pictures and short videos on their own. Buyers expecting a real camera with changeable lenses, or high resolution photos, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Bear design for young kids
- Photo and video modes
- Fixed lens, nothing to lose
- MicroSD slot and USB link
- Resolution fields disagree
- Memory card size listed two ways
- Small two inch screen
Performance notes
A basic fixed wide-angle lens with contrast detection autofocus handles snapshots, and digital stabilization smooths small shakes. Real image quality depends on the sensor, and the listing gives different still resolutions in different fields.
