Overview
Flambeau builds the MAX Tuff Tainer 4007 as a thin rectangular box with a lift off lid and a latch. The inside is divided into compartments using the dividers named in the listing, and the body is polypropylene.
The reason to buy is a large number of small compartments in a stackable footprint. The limits are the lack of water resistance and no lock. It also holds only small tackle because of the shallow depth.
Who it's for
A bank or boat angler who wants small tackle sorted into separate cells and kept in a tackle bag or on a shelf. Those fishing in wet conditions, or carrying larger lures, should look at a deeper sealed box.
Pros and cons
- Many small compartments
- Lift off lid
- Not water resistant
- Shallow for larger lures
Performance notes
Compartment count and divider layout decide how tidy the tackle stays, and a thin body limits it to small items. The latch holds the lid shut but the listing says there is no water protection. Stacking depends on keeping the lids latched.
