Overview
A young climber gets a full body Edelrid harness in the Fraggle III, made from nylon mesh in an Icemint color. The listing gives the smallest size and an age range for small children.
A full body style stops small climbers flipping, which is why it suits very young kids. Machine washing makes it easy to keep clean. The limitation is that the listing gives no fitting steps or buckle details, and it covers only the smallest size.
Who it's for
Young children in the lower end of the listed age range who need a full body harness. Older kids, teens and adults should use a sit harness in the right size.
Pros and cons
- Full body support for small climbers
- Machine washable fabric
- Smallest size only
- Fitting steps not described
- Weight limit is low
Performance notes
A full body harness attaches around the shoulders and legs, so a small child stays upright if they fall or rest. Mesh fabric helps with ventilation, and nylon provides strength. Correct sizing is the main factor, since a loose harness lets a child slip.
