Overview
Hunters get a palm-size digital monocular here, with a night vision sensor, a small color display and a rubberized grip on an ABS housing. A single-watt infrared illuminator and adjustable brightness help in the dark. It packs into the supplied nylon pouch.
A compact digital night viewer with video recording is the reason to consider it for scouting at dawn and dusk. The limit is optics: a small objective and digital rather than optical zoom restrict clarity at range.
Who it's for
Hunters and property owners who want to see what is moving in low light, and record it, will use the sensor and illuminator. Buyers wanting true tube-based night vision or long-range detail should look at other devices.
Pros and cons
- Digital zoom for distant sounds
- Rubberized grip on ABS housing
- Compact and light
- Nylon pouch included
- Batteries not included
- Digital zoom, not optical
Performance notes
A low-light sensor plus an infrared illuminator lets the camera show images in the dark, and range depends on that illuminator. Digital zoom crops the image, so detail drops as you zoom. Battery power affects how long the illuminator and display run.
