Overview
Gibbon supplies the Banana Lama Treewear Set as a complete rig: a polyester line, two round slings, two shackles and a power ratchet for tensioning. The line comes in colors of yellow, blue and pink, and the XL set is the longer version of the range.
Everything needed to rig between two anchors is in the kit, so a first-time buyer is not hunting for a ratchet or slings. A stated load rating gives a clear limit, while the length asks for a good gap between anchors.
Who it's for
Slackers rigging a long line in a park or large garden who want tensioning and anchor gear in the same box. Someone with a small yard, or who wants obstacles for kids, should look at a shorter line or a play kit.
Pros and cons
- Ratchet and shackles included
- Round slings for anchors
- Stated load capacity
- Long line length
- Heavy to carry
- Needs wide anchor spacing
- Plastic hardware is listed
- Care instructions not given
Performance notes
The ratchet pulls the line tight, and tension decides how much the line bounces underfoot. A long line stretches and moves more in the middle than a short one, which makes it harder to balance on, and the round slings spread the pull where they wrap the anchor.
