Overview
A climber clipping bolts on a sport route uses a quickdraw like this Mammut Sender, which joins two Crag carabiners with a polyester tape. One carabiner has a straight gate, the other a bent gate, and both use a key lock.
The tape is short, which makes a compact draw, and both gates use a key lock. This is one quickdraw, so a route calls for a set, and the listing offers no strength ratings.
Who it's for
Gym-to-crag sport climbers who clip fixed bolts and want a standard draw with the usual straight and bent gate pairing. Anyone after strength data or a rope-ready package should read the manual and confirm ratings.
Pros and cons
- Key-lock gates on both ends
- Straight and bent gate pair
- Indicator technology on the tape
- Metal and nylon construction
- Strength ratings not listed
- Sold singly, not as a set
- Tape length fixed at one size
- Warranty terms unlisted
Performance notes
The two carabiners are joined by a polyester tape that sets how long the quickdraw is, and the mixed straight and bent gates are listed together. The listing says nothing more about handling, so the manual is the source for how to clip it.

Frequently asked questions
How do I use the Mammut Sender quickdraw on a route?
The listing says it has a straight gate and a bent gate on a polyester tape and includes a manual. It does not include bolts, hangers or a rope, so follow the manual for which end goes where.
Does the Mammut Sender Keylock come as a set?
No. The listing describes a single 17 cm tape with two Crag carabiners, not a multi-pack.
What is a key lock gate on the Mammut Sender?
It is the lock type listed in the specs for both carabiners. The listing does not explain the design further, so check the manual.
