Overview
In the cabinet below a kitchen sink, the WD-TST treats water for one tap using ultra filtration and a body made from NSF/ANSI approved components. It is a heavier, bulkier unit than a pitcher or faucet clip-on.
Ultra filtration and a high gallon rating suit a household that wants to leave the unit alone for long stretches. Weight and footprint are what you accept, and the page does not name the reduction claims or the connection types.
Who it's for
A homeowner with a plumbed kitchen and cabinet space for a substantial body is the target. Those who cannot modify plumbing, or who have a small sink base, should use a pitcher or faucet-mounted filter.
Pros and cons
- Ultra filtration stage
- High gallon rating
- NSF/ANSI approved components
- Heavy and bulky for small cabinets
- Flow rate not stated
- Contaminant claims not given
Performance notes
Ultra filtration relies on a fine-pored membrane, so water pressure and pore size decide flow. The listing gives neither figure, so the gallon rating is the only sense of service life and it assumes ordinary supply water.
