Overview
A young student or beginner writer gets three light plastic mechanical pencils with a soft rubber grip and an easy-press mechanism. A compact case holds the lead tubes, erasers and refills.
Spare lead, replaceable erasers and a case make this a ready-to-go school kit. The grip suits small hands. Lead is a single grade and one width, so it is not a drafting range.
Who it's for
Preschool and elementary students, and parents buying school kits, will use the grip and the case. A spare lead supply lasts a term. Older students and drafters who want metal bodies or different grades should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Soft non-slip grip
- Generous spare lead
- One lead grade only
- Loading steps not listed
Performance notes
A soft rubber grip reduces slipping and hand fatigue, and the easy-press mechanism advances lead with light pressure. Resin and graphite lead is described as break-resistant. A single width gives a consistent line.
