Overview
Weighing a catch is done by gripping the fish by the lip with the included gripper and reading the weight on the LCD. The body is acrylonitrile butadiene styrene and stainless steel, and it is described as floating.
A bundle of scale, gripper, tape and case means one purchase covers weighing and measuring a catch. The listing gives accuracy in pounds but tags the measurement type as kilograms, so unit switching is not described.
Who it's for
Weighing and recording catches on the water is the situation, with the gripper handling slippery fish. Tournament anglers, and buyers requiring a documented unit switch, should look for that detail first.
Pros and cons
- Floating, waterproof body
- Lip gripper included
- Measuring tape included
- Carry case included
- Unit options not described
- Scale type labels conflict
- Battery details missing
Performance notes
A sensor inside the body reads the load and the LCD shows it in fine steps. Accuracy depends on holding the fish still, because swinging adds force to the reading. The floating and waterproof body protects against splashes and drops, but it does not change the scale accuracy.
