Overview
Dremel built this cordless rotary tool for deburring, grinding, polishing and sanding, with a comfort grip and a variable speed dial. It ships as a kit with a battery pack, a charger and a few accessories.
A light body and cordless power make it easy to take to small detail jobs, and the wide speed range suits both gentle polishing and quicker grinding. Only five accessories are included, so a project will likely need more bits.
Who it's for
Hobbyists, model makers and DIYers doing detail work get a cordless tool with a case and charger. People who want a router for woodworking, or a wide set of bits in the box, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Battery and charger included
- Compact cordless body
- Carry bag included
- Two year limited warranty
- Only five accessories in the kit
- Not a router
- Battery life listed as a single average
Performance notes
Rotary tools work by spinning a small accessory at high speed, so the speed setting should match the material: lower for plastics and polishing, higher for grinding. Battery capacity and load set the run time, and the listed average is a general figure.
