Overview
A small lawn patch or a garden edge is where this EarthWay hand spreader is used: a hand-held seeder sized to take a bag of grass seed. It is aimed at spreading seed over lawn areas without a wheeled unit.
A hand spreader needs little storage space and is easy to carry across a lawn, and the stated bag size allows a generous load of seed. The page is almost empty: no spread pattern, no materials and no description. Anything beyond the title is a guess.
Who it's for
Homeowners with small lawns, bare spots or edges to overseed will find a hand unit convenient. Large lawns, and buyers who want published spread width and settings, should choose a wheeled spreader or ask the seller for more detail.
Pros and cons
- Hand-held and easy to carry
- Sized for a bag of grass seed
- Compact for storage
- Spread width and settings not listed
- Hand carrying limits area covered
- Materials not described
Performance notes
A hand-held spreader scatters seed as you walk or turn a crank, so the pattern depends on your pace and how you hold it. Capacity sets how much seed is carried before a refill. The listing does not describe the spreading mechanism.
