Overview
A first-time hunter or a parent with a curious child gets a battery-powered detector with an LCD display and a search coil described as waterproof. It offers an all metal mode and a discrimination mode, and the shaft extends to a stated full length.
Reason to buy: it is described as lightweight and usable by both kids and adults, with two modes to cover general and selective searching. Limitation: the listing gives no depth, weight or battery life, and the waterproof claim has no stated rating.
Who it's for
Beginners, parents and kids who want a simple, light detector for yard and park searches get the basics here. Experienced users looking for detailed tuning, ground balance or a documented depth should look at a more fully described unit.
Pros and cons
- Lightweight for adults and kids
- Waterproof search coil
- All metal and disc modes
- Simple 9V battery power
- Waterproof rating not stated
- No depth figure given
- Battery life unlisted
- Weight not stated
Performance notes
All metal mode responds to every metal target, while disc mode filters out unwanted metals, so the mode you choose decides how much junk you dig. The search coil size sets coverage per sweep, and a larger coil covers more ground but can pick up targets less sharply.
