Overview
A ceiling mounted dome camera sends video over a private 2.4GHz radio link rather than Wi-Fi, so no app or home network is involved. It uses auto focus and infrared light, and a remote handles control.
No Wi-Fi means no accounts or streaming outside the home, which suits a privacy-minded parent. Only a camera is named in the box, so a viewing screen is not confirmed.
Who it's for
A nursery with a ceiling spot for the camera and an outlet nearby. Anyone who wants to watch away from home should choose a Wi-Fi model.
Pros and cons
- No Wi-Fi or app needed
- Night color view
- Parent screen not confirmed
- Motion alerts only
Performance notes
The FHSS link hops between frequencies and avoids home network traffic, but range depends on walls. Auto focus handles near and far, and infrared light produces the night view. Resolution is basic, so fine detail is limited.
