Overview
A long cutting blade, powered by a DEWALT battery pack, trims hedges on this cordless tool, which ships as a bare unit. The listing is short and mostly repeats the title.
Reason to buy: a long blade covers hedge length quickly, and a bare tool suits anyone who already owns a battery. Limitation: the battery and charger are extra, and the listing gives no cutting capacity, blade gap or stroke rate.
Who it's for
Homeowners with a long hedge and spare DEWALT batteries get a straightforward cordless trimmer. Buyers new to the platform must add a battery and charger, and should confirm cutting capacity with the seller.
Pros and cons
- Long cutting blade
- Bare tool for existing battery owners
- Part of a battery platform
- Model number clearly stated
- Battery and charger not included
- Cutting capacity not given
- Run time depends on separate battery
- Blade gap and stroke rate not listed
Performance notes
Cutting speed and run time come from the motor and the battery you pair with it, so a higher capacity pack means a longer session. A long blade covers more hedge per pass, but it also adds reach and weight at arm's length.
