Overview
A rotating abrasive drum does the sanding on this Grizzly baby drum sander, driven by a corded motor. The shape field describes the drum as a cylinder and the included components are listed as tools.
A drum sander smooths boards to even thickness, and the listed grit is fine. The listing leaves out board capacity, drum speed and dust collection.
Who it's for
A hobby woodworker with a sturdy bench or stand will find the basics described. Buyers who must confirm board thickness, drum speed or dust collection should check Grizzly before ordering.
Pros and cons
- Drum sanding action
- Corded household power
- Fine grit listed
- Compact baby drum format
- Capacity not listed
- Drum speed not listed
- Tool contents not itemized
Performance notes
A rotating drum removes material as the board passes under it, so grit and feed rate set the finish and the stock removal. A heavy body reduces vibration while the motor drives the drum.
