Overview
A sport climber building a rack gets a DMM Phantom quickdraw with D-shape carabiners and a wire lock. The listed length is the only dimension given, and the silver and gunmetal finish marks the Phantom line.
Light weight and a simple D shape make a quickdraw easy to clip and carry in numbers. The listing text is only company history, so strength ratings and sling details have to come from the maker.
Who it's for
Experienced climbers who already know DMM gear and want a light, compact quickdraw. Beginners should check ratings and training before using any climbing hardware.
Pros and cons
- Low listed weight
- Wire lock gate
- Compact 12 cm length
- Strength ratings not listed
- Pack count unclear
- Brand field shows a wrong maker
Performance notes
The wire lock describes how the gate closes, and the D shape is the usual outline for a clip-in carabiner. Quickdraw length affects how the rope runs between the bolt and the climber, so a compact length suits some routes better than others.
