Overview
Not a basic audio unit, this Infant Optics model is a video baby monitor in a dome form with a plastic enclosure for the nursery. It records on sound triggers and offers night color vision using four infrared LEDs.
Interchangeable lenses and two way audio give the monitor flexibility for different rooms. The limitation is consistency: the specs list Wi-Fi, a remote control and batteries both as powering it and as not required.
Who it's for
Households that want to watch and talk to the baby from another room will use the video and audio features. Shoppers who need confirmed Wi-Fi, outdoor use or clear battery details should check the listing further.
Pros and cons
- Interchangeable optical lens
- Night color vision
- Two way audio
- Sound triggered recording
- Not water resistant
- Indoor use only
- Battery entries conflict
- Capture resolution is modest
Performance notes
Infrared LEDs light the room for night color vision, and the lens can be swapped to change the field of view. Zoom is digital, so magnification trades off against image sharpness, and the capture resolution is modest.
