Overview
Not a faucet unit, this PUR pitcher filters by gravity through activated carbon as you fill it. It is a plastic countertop pitcher sold as a single unit.
The reason to look at it is the simple pour-and-go design from a known filter brand. The limit is that nothing on the page states how often the filter changes or which contaminants it targets.
Who it's for
Small households who want better-tasting water without installing anything. Large families, or anyone who needs documented lead or contaminant reduction, should look at a different model.
Pros and cons
- Plastic and light
- Filter life not listed
- Contaminants reduced not listed
- Included parts not listed
Performance notes
Gravity pulls water through the carbon filter, so filling takes a few minutes and the output is limited to the pitcher volume. Activated carbon reduces chlorine taste and odor by adsorption. The listing gives a capacity figure but no filter life.
