Overview
PUR builds the PPT111W as a countertop or fridge pitcher: pour tap water into the top, and it drains through the included filter into the reservoir. The body is plastic, and the set pairs one pitcher with one PUR filter.
Anyone who wants lead addressed without touching plumbing gets a ready-to-pour pitcher here. The listing leaves out the jug volume and how long a filter lasts, which are the two things that decide how often you refill and replace.
Who it's for
A renter, student or couple who pours a few glasses at a time fits the pitcher format. A busy kitchen that drinks water all day will outrun a pitcher and should look at a plumbed system.
Pros and cons
- Removes lead per the listing
- No installation needed
- Ships with a filter fitted
- Light plastic body
- Pitcher volume not stated
- Filter life not stated
- Plastic body only
Performance notes
Gravity pulls water through the filter, so a freshly poured top reservoir drains slowly and a full pitcher takes a few minutes to refill. Lead reduction depends on the filter being replaced on schedule, and the listing gives no schedule, so follow the maker's guidance on the filter pack.
