Overview
A roofline, mast or attic rafter gives this antenna its place, where a grey and white frame collects VHF and UHF broadcasts and carries them to a television through coaxial cable.
GE pairs a long listed range with a weather resistant build and a bundled J mount, so installation starts with one purchase. The listing names no cable, amplifier or power details, and the frame needs real clearance to mount.
Who it's for
Homeowners who want free over-the-air channels and are ready to climb to a roofline or run a cable into an attic suit this antenna. Apartment dwellers and renters should consider a compact indoor model.
Pros and cons
- J mount included
- Weather resistant for outdoor use
- Can also mount in an attic
- Lifetime limited warranty
- Large frame to mount
- Cable and amplifier not listed
- Needs a roof or attic spot
Performance notes
Reception depends on antenna height, a clear line toward the towers and how many walls or trees sit between. Outdoor mounting generally helps more than any listed range figure, and a long coaxial run adds signal loss. Aiming the frame matters, since the broadcast towers may lie in different directions.
