Overview
A viewer adding an antenna to an existing television receives a silver unit along with the parts needed to mount it and to match its lead to a coaxial input.
RCA bundles the setup parts, so the box covers the basics. The listing is inconsistent, though: the antenna description field says satellite, the product name says TV, and the range figure is unusually large and unexplained.
Who it's for
Households adding or replacing an antenna and willing to confirm the signal type first suit this listing. A model clearly described as an over-the-air TV antenna is a better route for those who cannot accept that doubt.
Pros and cons
- Mounting hardware included
- Matching transformer in the box
- One year limited warranty
- Listing mixes satellite and TV labels
- Range figure is unexplained
- Dimensions not listed
Performance notes
Signal quality depends on how well the antenna is aimed, how high it is mounted and how clean the cable run is. The matching transformer is there to bridge the antenna lead to a coaxial input, so loose or long connections can undo the benefit. The listed range figure carries no test conditions, so real reach varies.
