Overview
Sufix offers this clear nylon monofilament as a light line for spinning or casting reels. The length is stated two ways, and the weight is given as six pounds on the size field.
A light rating and clear color suit small fish and finesse presentations, and nylon gives some stretch that forgives errors. The listing leaves out diameter, knot strength and abrasion data, so closer comparisons are not possible.
Who it's for
A light tackle angler who respools often and prefers forgiving mono. Anyone chasing big fish or fishing around rough cover should step up to a heavier rating.
Pros and cons
- Clear for low visibility
- Nylon gives stretch
- Standard spool length
- Diameter not listed
- Too light for heavy cover
- Stretch dulls bite feel
Performance notes
Nylon stretches under load, which absorbs shocks and eases knot tying, but it blunts bite detection. A light rating means thin line that casts easily and has less strength against snags.
