Overview
BLACK+DECKER offers this cordless hedge trimmer as part of its MAX battery system, with a compact body, a built-in T-handle and a full-length trigger for control. The blade is high carbon steel and vibration is reduced.
No cord and a light body make it practical for regular hedge and shrub trimming, and reduced vibration cuts fatigue. The seller aims it at homeowners who find corded trimmers impractical and gas tools too heavy and noisy. The limitation is that run time and branch thickness are not stated.
Who it's for
Homeowners with regular hedge, bush and shrub trimming who want a light, ergonomic tool without a cord or gas will find the fit. The battery and charger are in the kit. Those who need to cut heavy branches or work for hours should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Cordless with battery and charger
- High carbon steel blade
- Run time per charge not listed
- Branch thickness not stated
Performance notes
Blade speed is set by the motor, and the reduced vibration is meant to lower fatigue. The cutting width is shorter than the blade length, so the usable cutting path is what the width row states. Battery capacity decides how many hedges can be trimmed per charge.
